Mentone, Alabama, is a small rural
community on Lookout Mountain in northeast Alabama. Mentone
is a source of great beauty, both in the expanse of nature,
and in the hearts of its community members.
Mentone seems to "draw" people
to it...some from far away. People have been known to have
had dreams that that have led them to Mentone; many have
moved there as a result.
The Native American presence of the
past remains strong in feeling; the night stars are ablaze
in their brilliance; the clear waters of Little River move
through the seasons, offering iced beauty in the winter,
and warm swimming holes in the summer.
Mentone is located 2 hours from Birmingham
and Atlanta, 1 hour from Huntsville, and 45 minutes from
